Your personal details including your credit card number are kept private, and are protected during transmission using SSL encryption. This means that when buying online from this shop your card details are better protected than when using your card in some of the more conventional ways, for example phone, or fax.
We have a standard delivery charge but this varies according to location. Please see our delivery information page for further details. Free standard delivery on all orders over £100 for delivery in mainland UK. If the goods are out of stock and delivery time is going to exceed the expected time from this specific supplier (see Deliveries for details) then we will contact you before processing your order. When you receive your order please ensure that you check the condition of the goods before signing the courier's paper work. If this is not possible, you MUST sign as unchecked or a claim cannot be made. If there is a problem with your order you MUST notify us before 2pm the NEXT WORKING DAY AFTER DELIVERY. These are strict terms of business from our courier and there are no exceptions.
In the unlikely event of a complaint we promise to deal with you in a fair, confidential and effective manner. Your complaint will be acknowledged within 5 working days and you will be kept informed of our progress. We take Customer Service very seriously at JG Harrison & Sons Ltd and will always make every effort to resolve any dispute to a positive conclusion.
The prices of goods and services ordered, any applicable tax, and shipping charges will be clearly stated before you finalise your order. No hidden costs will exist meaning the price you see on your order is the price you will pay. In the unlikely event that the total cost of your order is different from the figure you agree to pay, we will contact you first to confirm whether you wish to proceed or cancel the order.
Returns and Credits
With the implementation of the EU Consumer rights directive, consumers in the UK now have 14 days to exercise their right of withdrawal from a distance contract or off premises contract (including internet sales) without the need to justify and at no cost (except supplementary costs) as stated in the Regulations 29 and 30 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations and the guidance issued by the UK government. Your order will be processed quickly and efficiently, and if we are unable to ship your order for any reason we will contact you to inform you of the situation. When you complete your order you will be given a unique order confirmation number displayed on the Order Confirmation web page. If you have a printer you can print the confirmation page. If not, use the File/Save menu to save it to your hard disk. In any case you should make a careful note of your order number which should be quoted in all correspondence. If you gave us an email address we will also email your order confirmation.
